“Critically Wounded Warthog and Vulnerable Offspring Face the Brutal Predators of the Wild”

October 2, 2023 by admin

Footage captures the astonishing scene that happened in the Maasai Mara National Park, in the capital Nairobi, Kenya, showing a lion painstakingly digging a hole for 7 hours and receiving unexpected results.

According to Dailymail, the video was recorded by an engineer named Suhaib Alvi, 24 years old. The video shows a male African lion “hardly” digging in the ground for 7 hours to catch his dinner.

After many hours hiding in the cave, the 74kg warthog was caught by the king of the forest and pinned to the ground, giving a fatal bite to the neck.

Below is the entire process of hunting extremely “long” of the male lion, despite losing the dignified image of a “king of the jungle” with a face covered in mud.

It is known that humped pigs often choose to occupy the burrows of other smaller animals such as piggy banks instead of having to spend time digging for shelter. They make use of the burrow to sleep at night, as well as use it to protect their cubs from predators.

Usually, the piglets will enter the burrow first and then the mother so that they can fight back if the enemy chases too close.

Lions are probably very fond of prey like this, although it is a bit of a loss, but the amount of nutrition that a wild boar gives them is quite a lot.
