Kylie Jenner has been turning heads with her new, more natural look. The mother of two recently shared a makeup-free photo on Instagram where she’s seen sporting noticeably smaller lips and showing off her natural freckles.
In the Instagram picture, the 27-year-old is seen with her hair tied back in a bun as she kneels next to her two-year-old son, Aire. Kylie’s lips, which have been a topic of discussion for years, appear significantly smaller, hinting at the possibility that she’s dissolved some of her lip fillers.
The reality star, who has been open about her use of dermal fillers since her teenage years, admitted in 2018 that she had all her lip fillers dissolved. However, she later decided to get them injected again.
In 2023, she also confessed to having a breast augmentation before the birth of her daughter Stormi, after years of denial.
Despite her success being largely attributed to her looks, Kylie seems to be embracing a more natural aesthetic. This shift hasn’t been without its challenges, though, reports the Mirror.
She faced significant online backlash after opting for a minimal makeup look at a Paris Fashion Week event last year. The criticism was so harsh that it brought her to tears during an episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians.
She expressed her exhaustion over the constant scrutiny of her appearance, with critics claiming she’s “f—ed up her face”. The conversation was initiated by Kylie, who revealed that she spent the past year “went on a journey the last year dissolving half my lip filler”.
She continued: “I hate having this same conversation over and over and over again because it feels like a waste of my breath because I think, with me, it’s just never going to change.”
Tears welled up in Kylie’s eyes as she questioned why strangers feel it’s “OK to talk about me?” She further explained her belief that the public tends to “dehumanize” the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
She stated: “They don’t think there’s any rules with us, whereas if you talked the same way you talk about us about any other woman, people would come to their defense all day long.”
Kylie shared she feels trapped in a lose-lose situation with the public, regardless of whether she opts for a full glam or a more natural look.
“I wear too much makeup and it’s like, ‘You wear too much makeup,’ then I go and don’t wear a lot of makeup and someone catches me in some weird light,” she shared. Kylie confessed that she has become “numb” to the criticism.
