Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reunited at the SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 7, 2025, for the premiere of Another Simple Favor, the highly anticipated sequel to A Simple Favor (2018). While meeting fans in Austin, Texas, the two stars shared brief reactions about working together again.

Lively, 37, called it “the best” experience, adding, “I’m so happy to be here.” Meanwhile, Kendrick, 39, responded playfully with, “Oh, you know,” as she signed autographs and took selfies.

During a Q&A session at the Paramount Theatre, Lively revealed that her character, Emily, is her “favorite” role and expressed excitement about returning. She also admitted feeling less nervous this time around compared to the first film. Kendrick, who previously spoke to PEOPLE in October, described reuniting as “lovely” and said it felt like “riding a bike.”

The sequel follows Stephanie (Kendrick) and Emily (Lively) to Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a wealthy businessman. Director Paul Feig shared that filming in Italy was a “curveball idea” that turned out to be a “magical” experience.

Another Simple Favor begins streaming on Prime Video on May 1.
