Denise Richards’ Daughters Shocked to Learn About Charlie Sheen’s Marriage to Brooke Mueller

Denise Richards was stunned when her daughters, Sami, 20, and Lola Sheen, 19, admitted they had no idea their father, Charlie Sheen, was once married to Brooke Mueller.

During the March 11 episode of Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, Denise and her daughters were planning a memorial for Mueller’s pet lizard when the surprising revelation came to light.

“With Brooke, I pray that she is okay,” Lola began before hesitantly adding, “I think she was married to my dad. I actually… Yeah, they got married — I’m pretty sure.”

In a confessional, Sami echoed her sister’s uncertainty. “Was she married?” she asked Denise, 54. “She was married to him?”

Laughing, Denise responded, “You didn’t know she was married to your dad?”

“No,” Sami insisted. Denise then dropped another bombshell: “You were there!”

Sami asked how old she was at the wedding, which took place in May 2008 when she was 4 years old, while Lola was just shy of 3. The pair later divorced in 2011.

“I don’t know s—!” Sami exclaimed, to which Denise teasingly replied, “Clearly.”

A Complicated History with a Strong Bond

Mueller has appeared multiple times on Denise’s Bravo reality show since its March 4 premiere, highlighting their evolving friendship. While their relationship wasn’t always smooth, Mueller has acknowledged Denise’s support, especially during her struggles with addiction.

In September, Mueller appeared on the Hollywood Raw podcast, where she reflected on her history with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum. “We get along very, very well,” Mueller shared, though she admitted, “It was not always good.”

“The reason why our relationship wasn’t good had nothing to do with Denise—it was my addiction,” she explained.

Denise, who was married to Sheen from 2002 to 2006, even took temporary custody of Mueller’s twin sons, Bob and Max, in 2012 when social workers became concerned about Mueller’s behavior. She cared for the boys until May 2013.

Mueller credited Denise for her continued support, even as she worked on her sobriety. “In fact, she was really helpful with me recently too, last year,” she noted, revealing she was nine months sober at the time of the podcast recording.
